"Around St. Blasien-Menzenschwand, several glacial forms can be found that were created by glacier tongues extending from the Feldberg, the Herzogenhorn and the Spießhorn during the last ice age (Würm). These are terminal moraine ridges, a hanging valley with a waterfall step, the Scheibenlechtenmoos cirque and several rounded hills. In the middle, slightly boggy valley area of the Menzenschwand Alb, in the area of the "Kluse", there are three clearly visible terminal moraine ridges that run in an arc across the valley. However, their course is somewhat asymmetrical. On the north side, the ridges lie flat against the edge of the valley, while on the south side they meet the edge vertically. The three moraines in the Kluse are assigned to the Feldsee stage around 13,000–12,000 years ago."Source: lgrbwissen.lgrb-bw.de/geotourismus/glazial Formen/schwarzwald/endmoraenen-weitere-glazial Formen-bei-menzenschwand
