With its central location and monumental trees, the Kasteelpark is the green lung of Zwevezele par excellence. The castle itself was demolished in the eighties of the last century.

The Kasteelpark in Zwevezele was given a facelift in 2023. The three entrance gates were upgraded. As part of the recreational cycling network that passes through, the access paths were also redesigned.

With a new adventure trail and entrance gate to it, history is brought back to life as a reference to the disappeared castle. The heritage story has been put back in the spotlight via a number of information boards.

The new adventure trail, new picnic benches and extra greenery provide extra meeting space for every age group.
