Due to the forest dieback, you will have a wonderful view of the Harz foothills and the individual cliffs from many places on the hiking trail now and in about 4 years. My experience of this hiking trail in the forest in 2020 - hiking trail with a clear view in 2024 - I am looking forward to the view through the young beech forest in a few years (around 2028?).
