During the season, passenger boats operate daily to Prerow, Althagen, Fuhlendorf, and Bodstedt. In Born, there are several newly built, modern piers, where water sports enthusiasts are expertly instructed by the Born harbormaster at the municipal jetty. Due to its strong commitment to the environment, the harbor has been awarded the European environmental label "Blue Flag" for several years in a row. The harbor also boasts the "Yellow Wave" as a highly visible symbol – an award from the German Tourism Association and awarded three stars. Thatched-roof houses characterize the townscape.
