The Darßer Jungle is a forest area of approx. 5000 hectares. It is part of the Western Pomerania Lagoon Landscape National Park. After intensive reforestation, fast-growing trees such as spruce and larch characterize today's landscape.
Wetlands and swamps along the way provide a great habitat for numerous animals and plants. Even the grass snake feels at home here.
Overgrown trunks and fallen trees make the forest original and wildly romantic.
