In autumn 1983, Otmar Alt won the first two prizes for "Art in the pedestrian zone" with this fountain and Jürgen Goertz with his "Dionysos". The jury under Prof. Dr. Peter Anselm Riedl, dated October 19, 1983, describes this Otmar Alt work as "witty, enigmatic, ambiguous, compact, capable of integration - a blessed and happy answer".
