The former house and gardens of the chemist and inventor Otto Overbeck now belong to the National Trust.
The eccentric Otto designed, among other things, the "rejuvenation apparatus". Electrodes were attached to the body and were supposed to work wonders. These and many other oddities can be admired in Overbeck's when the house is open. At the moment it is not because of renovation work!

But the gardens are fantastically beautiful and worth a visit on their own. They exude southern charm - visitors almost forget that they are in England.

There are only a few parking spaces, so it is better to walk here. Good food is available at the Gastrobus, where you can borrow a basket and enjoy the food in the beautiful garden. Very stylish!
