At the entrance to Wulkow there is a memorial stone commemorating a satellite camp of the Theresienstadt concentration camp. On March 2, 1944, prisoners were brought in via the Trebnitz train station to set up a camp in the forest near Wulkow. Due to the approach of the Red Army, this was cleared again on February 3rd, 1945. At times, up to 260 prisoners were interned here, mostly Jews from Germany (40%) and from Bohemia and Moravia (60%). The stone bears the inscription: "In memory of the suffering of the Jewish prisoners in the Wulkow concentration camp in 1944-1945."

After the barracks were dismantled, the camp and the alternative service station gradually fell into oblivion. To this day, however, the irritating name "Jew's Hole" for the sand pit on the edge of the town (second camp location) has been passed down in the town. After 1990, work began on the subcamp. Impulses from survivors and some school projects led to the history of the subcamp becoming more visible with the help of memorial stones and plaques.
