Hiking

The Heavens of Copernicus Planetarium has been operating since 2011 at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw. It is located on the Vistula River, in a modern building resembling a boulder, with an amber facade. The projection room has a screen with a diameter of 16 m and 139 seats. It is equipped with a Megastar IIA projector, an 8K digital system, lasers and surround sound.

The planetarium shows educational films, concerts, laser shows and meetings with scientists. It has its own film studio and a free exhibition "See: Earth".

This is a planetarium that hosts not only starry sky and film shows. The shows cover a variety of popular science topics – astronomy, nature, and ethnography. The shows are displayed on a spherical screen surrounding the audience from all sides. Thanks to this solution, viewers have a sense of immersion in the displayed world, and this impression is intensified by the sound system placed around the dome.
