The Sacello F. Baracca is built in memory of the "Ace of Aces" aviator Francesco Baracca on the spot where he was shot down during the Battle of the Solstice in 1918. The work consists of eight Doric columns that support the dome with a small crotch. At the foot of the shrine are the symbols dear to the airman, such as the hippogriff, the rampant horse and the signatures of the parents.
