This waterfall and its neighbor, that of Marcos, are the origin of the water that is channeled through the thirteen tunnels through which the route goes. At the springs, the water falls through large vertical walls typical of the north of the island and which announce the Caldera de Taburiente National Park.

This hike can be very dangerous especially in the winter with or after recent rain. Risk of stones, landslides or slipping in a ravine. Never go alone and go back if it rains up at Casa de Monte or the next ravine!!Take a helmet. This advice is written by a local guide.
