The old nursing home is right next to the church.

The large building was once the rectory. In 1454, the house was exchanged for the St. Michaelsburg district court. This meant that the nurses and district judges no longer resided at the Michaelsburg, but in St. Lorenzen. For centuries, the district court and thus also the "office building" were pledged to the Counts Künigl. It housed the office rooms, storage rooms, a dungeon and service apartments.

In 1866, during the Venetian War, it served as a military hospital.
