From September 15, 2024, stamp station 42 of the Hiking Treasures of the Wild Homeland will be located at the wooden arch at the lower end of the Tree Trail.

As part of the reforestation of the Hardegsen municipal forest, a tree trail featuring the "Tree of the Year" was created along the edge of the Upper Schönenbergweg. The trees, selected annually from 1989 to 2024 by the Dr. Wodarz Foundation, were planted. Each tree is marked with a corresponding information panel. From the wide forest path in front of the tree trail, you have a wonderful view down into the valley, including Hardegsen and the village of Ellierode.
