According to the information available from individual publications to date, the house was probably built around 1550. Although it has been slightly modified both inside and out, its overall character has not been affected. However, scientifically sound and complete documentation of the history, the builders and the respective owners of the monument is still pending. Historically, the building is one of the stately homes that well-off citizens and farmers had built over the centuries on the 6.6 hectare market square. The cellar, which has remained unchanged since the 17th century, is fitted with brick vaults. Three of the five fireplaces that once existed are still preserved.
