The von Baumbach forester's house at Leipziger Str. 28 is the oldest house in Hoheneiche. The date May 4, 1633 is engraved on the lintel of the gabled half-timbered house.

The oldest house in Hoheneiche. The half-timbered structure is particularly striking, highlighted by the male figures on the corner posts. The so-called crossbeams feature rich carvings. The inscriptions on the upper floor thresholds are unfortunately no longer legible.
