The path winds its way high above the valley of the Tauernbach along its south-western mountain slope. The difference in altitude is around 170 meters. At the highest point east of Außergschlöß is the "Hohe Achsel" (1701 m) with a simple rest area and a wonderful view of the Tauern valley. The differences in altitude are overcome on steep sections with interesting serpentine paths.
