The Bovenkerk (German Upper Church) or St. Nicholas Church in the Dutch town of Kampen is a large, Gothic basilica with a cross floor plan and at the same time the dominant feature in the townscape of Kampen. Inside the church there is a rood screen from the early Renaissance, a pulpit made of natural stone and a monumental organ. The church has a church tower and a nave with double side aisles as well as a closed choir with ambulatory and chapel ring. The church has 1,250 seats and is an example of the Lower Rhine Gothic style and a registered cultural monument.[1] The church has the second highest choir in the Netherlands after St. Janskathedraal in 's-Hertogenbosch. It contains an important historical organ; the ringing comes partly from the founder of the most famous medieval large bell Gloriosa, Gerhard van Wou. (Wikipedia)
