Market fountain, Plochingen am Neckar
The market fountain was created in 1978 by the artist Karl Ulrich Nuss from Strümpfelbach. The fish man and fish woman, the personifications of the Neckar and Fils, sit enthroned on the fountain column as symbols of the confluence of the two rivers in Plochingen. The fountain column itself is decorated with reliefs that illustrate outstanding events from Plochingen's history.
