A minister of the Duke originally lived in the magnificent half-timbered house. In the 17th century, the house was purchased by a furniture dealer. As the furniture manufacturer based here was a supplier to the ducal court, the ducal coat of arms was allowed to be placed on the building. The coat of arms on the right is the coat of arms of Mecklenburg as the furniture manufacturer later also supplied the furniture for the castle in Schwerin.
