A visit to the Petersberg is always worthwhile. From up here you have a very good view of the Rheinhessen pass. There used to be a church on the platform. Some remains are still there. Since the mountain is a high elevation, you can see mountain bikers up here again and again, but it is also a popular destination for hikers

I have seldom seen so many information boards in one place as here; you learn a lot of new and interesting things. Those who are lucky can enjoy the remains of the wall of the crypt from the 10th century on their own. It is almost unimaginable that there was once a three-aisled basilica here! Until it was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War, the special crypt architecture was unique in the region, as it is otherwise only found in central Italy.Tip: Anyone who is out and about in mid-April should definitely make a detour to the wild tulips on the Lieberg.
