This is a very striking resemblance to a serpent.
The eye seems deliberately carved upon closer inspection.
It has a tainted history in modern times as Myra Hindley was seen sitting on this rock in one of her photographed poses (Ramshaw Rocks seemed a place they visited a few times).
It is said to align with the Bawd stone during the spring equinox.
It is worth checking out for its appearance if you are hiking here.
It can easily be seen as you ascend on the left of the path along the Ramshaw Ridge.
