The Lohr is a right tributary of the Main in the Spessart in Hesse and Bavaria. It is formed in the Main-Kinzig district south of Lohrhaupten by the confluence of the Lohrbach and Flörsbach and flows into the Main in Lohr am Main in the Main-Spessart district.

The Lohr drains the central parts of the Spessart via the Main and Rhine to the North Sea. 78% of the 236 km² catchment area is in Bavaria and 22% in Hesse. The northernmost point of the catchment area is at the Waldspitze (524 m) near Lohrhaupten, the southernmost is the summit of the Lohrer Berg (463 m) beyond the federal highway 26 near Rothenbuch. In the west it extends to the “Am Kurzen Heiligen” shrine on the Steigkoppe (502 m) on the Eselshöhe ridge. The easternmost point is the mouth of the Lohr. The highest elevation is the Hermannskoppe at 567 m above sea level in the northeast of the catchment area.
