Since 2017, the Hans Fischer Stadium has been a state-of-the-art competition facility in the middle of a unique ensemble of forests and lakes for the region's athletes. At the end of Mückenberger Straße, which runs through the former village center of Zschornegosda, the stadium blends inconspicuously into the natural idyll.

Sports teacher and Lusatian gymnastics legend Hans Fischer motivated the students of the "village school" to exercise more at this location. Today, a stadium capable of holding decathlons stands on the historic site and no longer resembles a simple sports field.
