Historical context: In Heijningen there are a number of homes that were donated by the Swedish Red Cross, enabled by the Swedish population, to solve the housing shortage caused by the flood. The home is built from a wooden structure with outer walls that are also made of wood. It was a prefabricated home: the home was delivered in parts and assembled on site, comparable to a construction kit.
