The rectangular brick building with wooden cornice was used as an arms and ammunition warehouse until the end of the fortress of Willemstad in 1926. After this period, the Arsenal was only used to store military goods. Since 1960, the striking building has been privately owned and regularly hosts cultural and social activities, such as the annual Christmas market in December.
