The Schlösserbrücke is one of the most important links in Erfurt's city center. It spans the Breitstrom (an arm of the Gera river) and connects the popular shopping boulevard Anger with the Fischmarkt.
The name of the bridge does not derive from magnificent castles, but from the locksmiths' guild, who used to have their workshops in this area.
