Urwaldsteig Section: Schloss Waldeck to Edertalsperre

Anyone who wants to hike from Waldeck Castle to the Eder Dam can do so at a leisurely pace
or
he/she can use this special path for it. However, surefootedness and good footwear are essential. All the effort is rewarded with a large number of experiences. The eye is presented with a huge amount of interesting and beautiful things, including rustic woodland, stones and bushes, and also rather rare plants such as the Ahib arum. Hikers also enjoy the peace and quiet far away from the noise of motorways and airplanes.
There are also other highlights along the way, such as the Judenbad, a religious natural bath for cleansing the soul, the Hexenkopf with its great view or the legendary places Hexentanzplatz and the Teufelsgraben.
It does take a bit of energy, however - no matter which direction, uphill or downhill.Nevertheless - pay attention and enjoy what you are offered. It's definitely worth it.
