Martin Luther's cold spot. What sounds like a medical diagnosis is in fact a place in Unterrissdorf, a little way east of the Lutherstadt Eisleben. Here the wind is so relentlessly whistling that Martin Luther froze pitifully on his last journey from Wittenberg to Eisleben. His brain has turned to ice, writes the reformer in his last letters to his wife. That was pretty much 469 years ago, but even today you can shiver at Luther's cold spot.
