The “Gate to the City”, created by the artist Werner Ratering, is the Sparkassenstiftung's first project on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Kreissparkasse. It was set up in 1995 as part of Rotenburg's 800th anniversary celebration. Historically, the gate stands on the border of the patch.
