Only the façade of the entrance area at the Westfalenstraße and the machine hall on the Kunstwerkerstraße, which was converted into a loft complex, are still reminiscent of the foundry and machine factory of Franz Dinnendahl, which he had built in 1820 at this location. Machine hall, enclosure and gatehouse were rebuilt in 1925 after a fire destroyed the old assembly hall on the Kunstwerkerstraße. The building stock has been a listed building since 1992.
