😎The Rappbode fore-dam is one of the two fore-dams of the Rappbode Dam. It is located near Trautenstein and dams the Rappbode with a total storage capacity of 1.66 million m³. The area around the Rappbode fore-dam is a popular hiking destination. On the north bank are the ruins of the Trageburg, which, like the nearby Susenburg, served to protect an old trade route.
