The ten-story Fidelity Trust Building is located on Congress Street across from Monument Square in downtown. The historic building was Portland's first skyscraper and was the tallest building in the U.S. state of Maine when it was completed in 1910.
The building has changed hands several times over the years and is also known as the People's United Bank Building or the Maine Bank and Trust Building.
The owners plan to convert the former office building into one- and two-bedroom apartments (as of 2023).
