In the patch Iburg, which was built below the castle and Benedictine abbey of Iburg, the single-nave St. Nicholas Chapel was built in 1226. It belonged to the parish of today's district Glane. 1255 the chapel was parish. The first chapel has a bricked round arched window in the present sacristy and two narrow windows on the north side. They were exposed in 1976, when the plaster applied in 1908 was cut off. The church was built of sandstone quarry stone that was mined in the so-called Benno quarry of nearby Dörenberg.
