In 1912, the Palacio Augustín Zulueta was built for Ricardo Augusti. Its style is linked to the pleasures of the rich families of that time. The palace was designed by Julián Apraiz and Javier de Luque, who were also the architects of the New Cathedral. The building contains elements of all architectural styles: Renaissance in the external façades, Gothic in the old chapel, etc. In 1941, the Provincial Council of Alava acquired it to house the Museum of Fine Arts. In 1962, the palace was declared a historical monument.
