This premium trail leads through vineyards with a wonderful view of the Moselle valley and along steep cliffs over paths and stairs of old vineyards. You can experience the only boxwood forest in Luxembourg and the cool canyon forest of the Donverbachtal. Along the way, some information boards explain interesting facts about viticulture as well as the special flora and fauna.

Stone Age people and Romans in Ahn

The path that was cut through the rock up to the plateau is an old Roman path. It runs across the plateau in the direction of the big one, not yet. excavated Roman villa "In den Heidelöchern" and is one of the oldest traffic connections from and to Ahn. On the plateau there are further traces of Roman settlement such as red bricks, which are clearly of Roman origin. So-called stone rushes can also be found in the boxwood thicket of the Palmberg, the origin of which can hardly be traced back to the simple piling of stones. Arrowheads, stone axes and processed flint stones (silexes) were also found, which suggests that Stone Age people had already settled here.
