Road Cycling Highlight
Located near the mouth of the River Main on the B426 / Ziegelhüttenweg, the cycle path leads across the Mömling bridge in Obernburg a.M. 🚴♂️
The city belongs to the Lower Franconian district Miltenberg and is located on the left side of the Main at the mouth of Mümling in the Main.- The Mümling is a 49.7 km, with Mossau and Marbach 59.7 km long left tributary of the Main, which gives the Mümlingtal in Odenwald his name. On the Bavarian side he is also called Mömling. The Mümling source is located in Beerfelden in the Hessian Odenwald. The source is a twelve-tube fountain from the year 1810. This source springs from the Walterbach, which unites in Hetzbach with the Gretengraben. From there the river carries the name Mümling. Its source area around Beerfelden is the southernmost part of Hesse, which still belongs to the catchment area of the Main. From here, the Mümling flows north through the Hinter Odenwald. In it are lined up from south to north the largest towns in the district: Erbach, Michelstadt, Bad König and Höchst in the Odenwald. Behind Höchst, the Mümling turns towards NO, describes an arc around Burg Breuberg, and finally flows through the last 8.4 km on Bavarian soil in an easterly direction to the Main near Obernburg.de.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%BCmling
