Actually, the tour was from Großheubach over Zittenfelden to Buchen. From there via Walldürn, back, as recorded here. Advantage: cycle paths and roads with little traffic only between Schneeberg and Buchen. In Miltenberg we pushed through the Mainuferfest, which of course worsened our average. In Buchen nothing was going on. We found in front of the pedestrian area an Italian ice cream parlor (our starting point). We were the only guests. Ice cream and coffee good and cheap. Oh yes: we were on trekking bikes.
You pass the Hallstones, huge blocks of sand in the forest. Just take your time and represent your "feet" there. Info board about the origin is very interesting.
Mostly beautiful flow trails between "motorcycle parking" on the B47 and Eulbach. Short part of the route "riddled" by forest workers.
Limes-way from the entrance to the Golf Club Sansenhof until shortly before Vielbrunn by the forest workers from the narrow path into a mud path with deep lanes reworked.
Beautiful road bike tour through the Spessart. After all, I do not really have a racing bike, but a fitness bike that only differs by the handlebars. Until Heigenbrücken showed the speedometer 52 km and a journey time of 2:01 hours. In Heigenbrücken I have taken a break at acquaintances. On the return trip I had at
Start a bit lucky that I got away dry. Shortly before the 1 intersection came the rain. Here I briefly placed myself to wait for the first strong shower. It got lighter and I thought that it stops raining right away. But it did not stop, but became stronger again. No matter if wet then wet :-))). I did not do any pictures today, just from the bicycle speedometer to the end.
By car we went to Gemünden. There by bike on the Sinntalradweg in the direction of Bad Brückenau. The bike path is really great, with great views. But always slightly rising. The last 10-15 km are awesome. A disused railway line was tarred. Here it can run properly, despite the slope. There is a lot to see in Bad Brückenau. The onward journey then went over three valleys to Hammelburg. From there on the Saale Cycle Path back to Gemünden. The bicycle speedometer is 106.5 km and has an average speed of 22 km / h. The tour was recorded with a Garmin.
