The Prinzensteig offers you pure hiking pleasure. On narrow forest paths you wander on this section above the Danube and enjoy every now and then great views of the valley. Surefootedness is important and you should also be free from giddiness.

A particularly romantic hike is the Prinzensteig in Wilhering. High above the Danube, children and parents hike when they discover the Prinzensteig hiking trail in Wilhering. Idyllic, almost magical, presents the families, among others, the Kürnbergerwald.
The starting point for the hike is directly in Wilhering: The families park at the parish hall or at the forest school. From here the children march above the Danube along the Prinzensteig. On this part of the trail, which is partly similar to an alpine path, special attention should be paid to the safety of the children.
When the families have passed the rock faces, they pass a shelter before reaching the forest road. Before boredom arises, the historic Roman tower awakens the interest of the children.
A short time later, on the Prinzensteig trail in Wilhering, a natural monument thrilled the families: The Z'klobene Stoa "is a mighty granite rock that lies mossy on the wayside. After the pond, the seagrass meadows in the Kürnbergerwald provide a special atmosphere.

A very nice climb through the forest along the Danube on the slope of the Kürnberg.
