On the Barber's Bridge (Lazebnický most), pedestrians can cross the Vltava between Latrán and the Old Town. The current form of the bridge dates from around the 1830s. The steel truss bridge stands on two stone pillars and a central pillar at the beginning of the Vltava Island. The walkway is made of wooden planks. In the middle of the bridge there is a statue of St. John of Nepomuk and a depiction of the crucifixion. In 1830, the previous bridge, a simple wooden footbridge, was badly damaged by vandals. This is why the new bridge had to be built. The Barber's Bridge is named after the nearby public bath on the Latrán side.

The castle tower has always been a symbol of Český Krumlov. The climb up 162 steps to the viewing platform 86 metres above the level of the Vltava River rewards visitors with a view of the entire town and the adjacent moat, where the Český Krumlov bears have lived for centuries.
