The factory was built in 1936/37 as a subsidiary of Dürener Metallwerke and Bergmann-Borsig Berlin and manufactured parts made of aluminum and duralumin as a supplier to the aircraft industry such as the Heinkel-Werke in Rostock, Arado in Warnemünde and Dornier in Wismar. These included propellers, fuel tanks, wings and steering devices.
