The tuff-built nave of the hall church from the 12th century was extended with bricks in 1796-98 after the retracted choir was demolished and covered with a new gable roof. The wooden bell tower, built in the core around 1550 on a square floor plan, has sloping outer walls.
The interior of the nave is covered with a wooden beam ceiling. The organ is on the gallery above the altar. It was built in 1870 by Marcussen & Søn behind the facade of the previous organ from 1799.
The St. Nikolai Church is a listed building.
