In 2005, the island of Tjuvholmen was transformed from a port area into a new urban district with residential and commercial buildings. Part of this plan was the construction of sculptures in public spaces. In 2012, the Tjuvholmen Sculpture Park was opened. Here you can now find works by well-known modern artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Sir Paul McCartney, Anish Kapoor and others.
