At 1120 m above sea level in the Prealps and less than an hour from Grasse, Lac de Thorenc is a one-hectare artificial lake formed by a dam on the Lane watercourse. This site was designed to accommodate families, in a pleasant green setting.
With direct access from the car park and a path all around the lake, young and old can spend a magical day of fishing!
Educational panels created by the federation are set up all around the lake to present the different fishing techniques and the fauna of the lake and the Lane.
The species present are: brown trout, rainbow trout and brook salmon (the latter two are introduced for purely fishing purposes at the beginning of the season) but also chub, minnows, tench.
