Claus Sluter (* around 1350 in Haarlem; † 1405 or 1406[1] in Dijon, France) or Claes Sluter, in the sources also Claux Slutre, was a Dutch Gothic sculptor and co-founder of the Burgundian art school. He is considered the main representative of Burgundian sculpture at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries.
