Lake Ziegelsee in western Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is a beautiful place that combines nature and relaxation. It originated from an erosion gully formed during the Weichselian glaciation and is now divided into an inner lake and an outer lake. This separation was created by the construction of a road, but a water connection remains via a bridge. The inner lake has an area of 0.52 km², with an average water depth of 7.5 m and a maximum depth of 16.5 m. The outer lake extends over 2.5 km², reaches a maximum depth of 34.4 m in the northern part, and is highly indented. Here you will also find the "Große" and "Kleine Murrkiten Insel" (Great and Small Murrkiten Islands).Lake Ziegelsee is part of the Stör Waterway and offers a variety of recreational opportunities. Whether for boat trips, relaxing walks, or simply enjoying nature – Lake Ziegelsee is a perfect destination for any nature lover.
