Hiking
Formerly called the "Castle in the Green", in Briest near Tangerhütte stands an oak-framed manor house in the late Renaissance style. An ensemble of manor house, brewery, farmyard, a small chapel and estate park forms the oldest ancestral home of the family of Bismarck in the Altmark and houses more than 600 years of family history. The 19th-century park was designed by Christian Schaumburg with a picturesque pond, spacious meadows, oaks and adjacent field and forest corridor.
