The current town hall at Łączności Street 1 - the seat of the city authorities - is almost a hundred years old, built in 1910-1912. Before the war, it housed the Heinrich von Plauen Male Reformed Real Gymnasium. Once a historic building, it was surrounded by a beautiful garden, and its remains can still be seen today. A statue of the dying Achilles stands in front of the building.
