The bell was purchased on October 4, 1953, for Thanksgiving. The inscriptions read "God is faithful" and "Be faithful until death."
The bell is made of cast iron. Unfortunately, this meant that it quickly fell into disuse and was replaced with a bronze bell in 1974. It now holds a place of honor directly in front of the church tower.
