This castle on the edge of the 'Bois de Tihange' stands on a site where, according to ancient chroniclers, in the 14th century there was a house of the Order of the Templars, which depended on Villers-le-Temple. The name "Good Hope" could have a religious connotation that further supports the relationship with the Order of the Templars.
Over the centuries, this property has had several owners. After a sale following division of the inheritance, the current owners were able to acquire the castle, which has always been a private residence.
Today, it is a guest house with three rooms.
The castle contains a collection of basketry objects. The father of the current lord is one of the last artisan basket makers, son and grandson of a basket maker. He made old models and restored objects found at flea markets.
