The romantic ruins of the old Keiss Castle right on the cliff are very easy to reach from Keiss Harbour. You can't get past the new Keiss Castle, the owner has locked the gates to the road.

Keiss Castle – Ruin on the Edge of the World
This 16th-century tower ruin teeters spectacularly on a cliff above Sinclair’s Bay, just outside the village of Keiss. The walk to it (approx. 2km return) starts at the harbour and takes you past abandoned brochs, coastal defences and rugged beach scenery. You can spot seals, otters and seabirds along the way. The ruin itself is not accessible, but the views are unforgettable.
